Sleeper Bus Charter (Nightliners) covering the UK and Europe from Newport by one of the larger quality sleeper coach companies in Britain
|

Jumbocruiser sponsored the 2011 Surface Festival Tour and will do so again in 2012
Loud, sweaty, beer-saturated. Three words to describe the Surface Festival Tour 2010. After placing in the top three in the Surface Festival Final at the O2, London, the three winning bands - Great Imitation, Twister and Wings of Pegasus - were invited to tour the UK courtesy of Jumbocruiser. The whole tour was a great success on many levels.
The bands had the "privilege" of learning life on the road on a double-decker Jumbocruiser Megaloader Tour Bus used by artists such as Kid Rock, Moby, Snoop Dog, Gorillaz Sound System, Alexandra Burke, Girls Aloud and Groove Armada. The Jumbocruiser consisted of two decks, 16 beds, seating area, lounge area, toileting and kitchen facilities, entertainment systems, along with a fridge full of booze. Ryan Albutt, vocalist from Great Imitation: “The tour bus was amazing and we had a proper laugh. It gave us a flavour of what professional touring is like.”

We provide Unique Sleeper Coaches and Nightliners for use throughout the UK and Mainland Europe |
- We have some of the nicest coaches on the circuit
|
- Except for our "Economy" coaches, our double deck coaches are modern.
|
- Memory foam mattresses on all bunks - the newer buses have wider and longer bunks than before.
All to give a great night's sleep. Some coaches have 7 foot long bunks
- We now change the bedding twice a year with mainly new bedding. Winter duvets in winter and summer duvets in summer. What other sleeper coach company does that ?
|
- Usually 3G/GPRS/WiFi internet access is available. Please read mor ein the right hand column on this page.
|
- Various entertainment systems. Most buses have Playstations (some have them in most bunks), multimedia video players with a large selection of licensed movies and music, Guitar Hero.
|
- We try hard to avoid overworking our drivers and risking accidents. We operate within the law for
your safety.
|
- We believe you will find you are dealing with a human but professional company. Most of our drivers have 35 hours of training to achieve their Certificate of professional Competence. We have just started a scheme to have all our coaches inspected by the UK's leading third party inspection organisation on a regular basis as pert of our preventive maintenance policy.
|
- Option to convert the back lounges or the front of the double deckers to double bedrooms on many coaches.
|
- No cash per diems required to be paid to drivers thus reducing the amount of cash handled. Nearly all costs are "all-in" on the quotation and then on the invoice.
Look at these "firsts". Jumbocruiser were the first in Europe to provide:
- Memory foam mattreses
- 31" wide bunks (on most, but not all, newer coaches)
- Bean to Cup coffee machines
- Playstations in most bunks of most (but not all) coaches
- 3G Internet via WiFi pan-Europe.
- Multimedia player in the lounges.

Looking for a driving job ?
Unless we already know you then the only way to get on our books is to do double drives. In effect that means you will need to be a casual driver for a while until a position becomes available. Unfortunately positions are rare and timing is crucial. In the first instance please click here to let us know your details. Priority is given to drivers with trailer licenses who live near Bristol. We are also interested in drivers who live abroad for double drives if they have right hand drive experience. Meanwhile please click here to make sure you really want the job !

Unique Megaloader™ coaches
The Megaloader®* is a 14 or 16 bed double deck coach with a huge patent pending walk in loading bay thus avoiding the need for a trailer. This will save money on ferries, tolls, and driver allowances. Please see the silver coach at the top of this page as well as clicking here. |

Now double beds
We are starting to fit double beds in the rear lounges of some of our coaches (or the front upstairs on some double deckers). These beds need to be booked in advance and will reduce the number of passengers allowed on the bus.

The other 3G router supports Vodafone outside the UK. The first person to try to access the internet each day is presented with a Vodafone web page demanding a credit card or Vodafone phone number for payment. The cost is €5 a day in Germany (1 GB per 24 hrs) or €15 in most other Europen countries (50 MB for 24 hrs). If you hit the limit then you are asked to pay more. If one person pays, all others who can access the router can share.

Ways to save money
Often when booking a coach for a long European tour, bands only look at the actual price quoted but do not consider other issues.
One thing we have noticed is that American bands often negotiate their appearance fees in dollars and yet pay us in pounds or Euros which really makes no sense.
The problem is that by the time you have done your deal and converted to US dollars, then converted back to either Euros or Pounds to pay us, you have probably lost around 8% of the value of the money concerned. Why not do the gig for Euros and have a Euro bank account to receive the money.
Pay your suppliers in the Euros you have earned then any excess cash can be converted to dollars by your own bank as and when required.
We also have other techniques to save you money including circumventing withholding taxes.
Please feel free to call to discuss these issues. If you do not expect to make a profit in the current tax year or simply have cash flow issues, even allowing for bilateral tax agreements what we propose may save you all your back holding tax liabilities. Feel free to discuss with us once you have booked a bus what we can do for you.

Trailer sizes
Trailer sizes are width 1.73m (5ft 8 in) and length 3.03m (10 ft) and height 2.14m (7 ft) with a maximum payload of 1.5 tonnes. = 11 cubic metres = 385 cubic feet. Megaloaders are around 9 cubic metres.
We have a couple of trailers that are 12 ft long.
Talking about trailers...
Insurance
Please remember that you will be responsible for insuring your own equipment or merchandise carried by Jumbocruiser. It is not possible for us to get "Goods In Transit" insurance and we only carry on condition that you accept that we can not take liability for any losses other than where we have been negligent according to the law.
Many general insurance policies have loopholes that are not discovered until its too late. The team at Apex Insurance Services have over 30 years experience working solely with the music industry so their policies are tried, tested and recommended by their clients - from young bands starting out to international stadium tours.
Jumbo Cruiser cannot re-iterate strongly enough that you check any current policy you have, or contact Apex who will happily offer advice on your current arrangements, or quotes if you do not have insurance.
Please contact Martin Goebbels on +44 207 384 9222 and ask for a quote based on your needs. It could be much cheaper than you think.

Exeter - Phoenix (any size)
Leeds - Rio's, The Cockpit (over 12m or with a trailer)
